Machu Picchu Train Tours

The train from Machu Picchu

I have always wanted to go to Machu Picchu and last year I thought that my chance had gone. The washing away from rockfalls and rain meant that the railway line disappeared. Now the Inca trail to Macchu Pichu is a good idea but the walk means that you need to be there an extra seven days compared with taking the train to Machu Picchu. Well now it is back and it is as good as ever.

Have a look at the video of the Machu Picchu train from Peru Rail and see what you think. It’s in Spanish but even if you don’t speak the language you will appreciate the luxury. I might go twice so I can do the Inca Trail too. If you are thinking of South American Tours then you could do a lot worse than basking in the lap of luxury a bit.
